Aromatherapy Bodywork
Aromatherapy bodywork combines massage techniques with plant-derived essential oils to deliver synergistic physical, mental, and emotional benefits.
Through transdermal absorption of diluted oils on the skin using massage techniques (Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue) provide therapeutic effects know as:
Stress and Anxiety Reduction: Essential Oils like lavender, chamomile, and sandalwood help shift the nervous system into a parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state, lowering cortisol levels and promoting deep relaxation.
Chronic Pain Management: Essential oils such as peppermint, eucalyptus, and sweet marjoram possess anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that soothe sore muscles, reduce joint pain, and speed up tissue healing.
Mood Enhancement and Mental Clarity: Citrus oils (e.g., bergamot, lemon) and clary sage influence neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, uplifting mood and improving focus.
Improved Sleep and Circulation: The combination of massage strokes and specific oils stimulates blood flow, aids lymphatic drainage, and helps regulate sleep patterns, making it effective for insomnia and fatigue. These specific oils are a blending of essential oils infused in a organic carrier oil. Rosemary, Juniper and Helicrysum are known to tone the veins and support lymphatic drainage. Cypress, Peppermint and Black Pepper are considered the most effective to reduce swelling and to improve circulation. Clary Sage, Vetiver, Neroli, and Frankincense are also efficient for their calming properties and ability to alleviate insomnia symptoms.
At Integrated Holistic Massage, we accommodate a variety of bodywork modalities for your uniqueness and specific needs:
Swedish Massage
60 min. $85 / 75 min. $105 / 90 min. $125
One of the most commonly taught and well-known massage techniques, Swedish massage is defined as a traditional Western technique that manipulates the superficial layers of soft tissue to promote general relaxation and improve circulation.
Developed in the 19th century by Swedish fencing instructor Per Henrik Ling and codified by Dutch doctor Johann Georg Mezger, it is often referred to as "classic massage." a vigorous system of hands-on treatment designed to energize the body. The many benefits of Swedish massage may include generalized relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue adhesions, and improved circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury.
The treatment utilizes four fundamental techniques:
1_effleurage (long, gliding strokes),
2_petrissage (kneading),
3_friction (deep circular movements),
4_tapotement (tapping or percussion),
These methods are applied using oil or lotion/cream to reduce friction, typically covering the entire body to relieve muscle tension, reduce stress, and enhance lymphatic flow.
Back Body Treatment can be added to improve hydration and regeneration of the back skin.
Cold Therapy is used to decrease inflammation and tighten up the connection tissue, mostly done at the end of the Swedish Massage session.
NeuroMuscular Therapy
60 min. $85 / 75 min. $105 / 90 min. $125
Neuro muscular Therapy, known as Deep Tissue, involves using digital pressure and strokes to assess and treat soft tissue dysfunction, particularly myofascial trigger points. The primary goal is to alleviate chronic pain, restore normal function, and correct neuromuscular imbalances by addressing the root causes of muscle tension and nerve irritation.
Deep Tissue techniques are:
1_Trigger Point Therapy: Applying focused, sustained pressure to deactivate tight muscle knots that cause local or referred pain.
2_Myofascial Release: Using gentle, sustained stretching to release connective tissue (fascia) restrictions and improve mobility.
3_Neuromuscular re-education: Retraining the nervous system to improve coordination, posture, and movement patterns.
4_Positional Release: Placing the body in a position of ease to relax hypertonic muscles and reduce pain.
5_Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF): Combining stretching and contracting to improve flexibility and muscular function.
Tools are occasionally on the trigger points to release stubborn tensions.

The Kanzu Bowl – Kansa Vati is a true name – is fused of five metals, of which the known ones are Copper, Bronze, and Zinc. All the Kanzu bowls are made by expert artisans in India, keeping for thousands of years the “savoir-faire”. Every Kanzu bowl is very unique with a vibrant energy.
This Indian reflexology approach is based on harmonizing the five elements: Ether, Fire, Air, Water and Earth – according to the Ayurvedic principles (Traditional Indian Medicine). Those elements are the fundamental components of the expression of Life.
The foot massage with the Kanzu bowl is ideal to calm down the excesses of the fire element in the body (frustrations, irritability, anger) with an effect of dispersion (stress, anxiety, depression, lack of motivation, burn out, insomnias).
Actions of the metals in the Kanzu bowl on the human body: Copper, great regulator of heat, reduces and transmutes fat into muscles. Zinc helps digestion and boosts metabolism at the muscular and circulatory levels. Bronze regulates Copper and Zinc. The two other metals are kept secret, and certainly are keys to the uniqueness of the look-like Tibetan bowl.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A KANZU BOWL FOOT MASSAGE?
First the eyes are covered with pads moisturized with rose water. No need to undress. Feet will be slightly elevated for comfortable access. This massage uses Ghee (organic clarified butter) or Shea Butter (Certified Organic).
Gentle circles are made by spiraling the Kanzu bowl with Ghee or Shea Butter on the sole of the foot. Each foot receives 15 minutes. At the end of the session, each foot is wrapped with a warm towel to help great penetration of the Ghee, which deeply nourishes the connective tissues of the foot and the body.
BENEFITS
Decrease the negative aspects of stress
Increase metabolism

Recharge the body with Prana.
